So, my paper Menstruation and Henna: Pollution and Purification got accepted and I packed up my gear and went to England to stand and deliver.   This is me just before my lecture, feeling indecently pleased with myself for being there, and scared witless I'd totally blow it or be savaged by deconstructions.

I didn't fall on my face.  I was over-prepared, and had one of the best papers at the conference, and certainly the best delivery.
