The day came to teach Rangoli.

Some people rumbled and grumbled about the rangoli coming into the roundhouse dance circle at Starwood.  Many people come to Starwood intent upon nonstop drumming, dancing, trancing and nibbling on the magic cookie bush around the roundhouse bonfire straight through the festival.  They get very territorial about the space.  Others want occasional peace and quiet.  Others would like to trance dance without worrying about who's wasted and out of control blundering into them.  There were about 1800 attendees at Starwood, and ..... that represented 2300 "special cases".  Some of the drunknfunkin group at the roundhouse decided the rangoli would be an intrusion on their concept of sacred chaos, and not knowing what rangoli was, or whether it would be good with cheese sauce, decided to dig in their heels and be stubborn.  They wanted to drum nonstop.  They wanted to dance nonstop.

Jeff McBride, Jason Isla, and Josh Levin helped me through this tricky situation ....... advised me, helped me get everyone's attention and cooperation .......

........... I asked the drummers to please keep drumming to help us work, and the dancers keep dancing to delight us, and for anyone else to please lend a hand ...... and soon the rangoli was on its way, with the roundhouse revelers mostly joining in.  I am very grateful for the skills and suggestions offered by Josh, Jason and Jeff!  With their assistance, things got underway easily.

And with many hands helping, the transitory cathedral took shape.
