I line up knotwork by kneeling over the girlz, and sketching the pattern first with a Stabilo watercolor pencil to make certain the henna will be perfectly symmetrical.  I don't sit on them because that would hurt their knees, I "Ride the Rocker Gurlz", kneeling over one after another for hours at a time.
