I LOVE playing with Temptu Outline Black!  I've used it for harquus for a couple of years now, and love the effect.  It stays a couple of days on the face, but can last on the arm for over a week. Temptu will stay put in the shower, but will come off with rubbing alcohol.  Sweatting, dancing ... no problem.  It stays put!  It's SAFE for skin, so if people MUST have a black "temporary tattoo", use Temptu and NOT "PPD Black Henna"

I paint harquus Temptu with a Windsor and Newton #1 University Series brush .  I have the person lay down on a mat, with me sitting crosslegged just behind the top of her head.  I  rest the back of her neck on my ankle, and position myself so I'm siting straight down her forehead, nose, chin, chest in a straight line.  Um ... I guess I need to draw a picture of that to explain it better!  I paint on the Temptu, let it dry, then powder it with talcum powder, and wipe away the excess.  That's it!  It's a convincing facsimile of a tattoo!

Harquus is so beautiful .... it absolutely tranforms a face!   I've GOT to slam together and publish a proper book of harquus patterns, with history and traditions this year!  I've got over 1,000 traditional harquus patterns stored.  I see before me: another year of a close personal relationship with Word Doc's  Mr. Clippy.

This was done with temptu outline black from http://www.temptu.com ... and a #1 Windsor and Newton University Series brush, finished with talcum powder and wiped smooth.

Never, never use PPD Black henna to make temporary black body art!  That stuff can put people in the hospital, and it can hurt the artist that works with it!
